Terms of Business
The Financial Services Authority (FSA)
The FSA is the independent watchdog that regulates financial services. It requires us to give you this document. Use this information to decide if our services are right for you.

What Product do we offer?
We deal with products from a range of insurers for Motor, Household, Caravan, Travel, Motor Trade, Liability, Shopkeepers, Commercial Combined, Commercial Vehicles
We only offer products from a limited number of Insurers for Agricultural Vehicles, Landlords, Pet, Horse, Marine, Holiday Homes, Event Insurance, Breakdown Cover, Private Medical Insurance. Classic car, Mini bus, Taxi Insurance

What will you have to pay for our services?
A fee of £20 is payable at the inception and renewal of all insurance policies. In the event that you cancel a policy after 14 days a charge of 20% of the premium is made to cover reclaimed commission and for the work we have done on your behalf. You will receive a quotation which will tell you about any other fees relating to any particular insurance policy.

Who regulates us?
Bromwich Insurance Bureau Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Our FSA registered number is 307113. Our permitted business is General Insurance sales. What to do if you have a complaint
If you wish to register a complaint , please contact us at the above address directing your communication to The Operations Department in writing or by phone on 0121 553 7431.If you cannot settle your dispute with us you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme ?
We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. For compulsory classes of insurance , advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the claim, without upper limits. Further information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS.

Cancellation Rights
Details of cancellation periods and rights will be supplied in a policy summary issued prior to or immediately after inception of the policy . You may cancel the policy within 14 days of receiving this document by returning all documentation and confirming cancellation in writing, subject to no claims occurring. You will be charged a proportionate amount for the period of cover and a £20 charge. Premiums collected are held in a non statutory trust account specifically used for holding client money, this is a non interest bearing account. As agents for Insurers the terms of our agreements stipulate that such monies are deemed to be paid direct to the insurer. We remit the premiums to the insurer less our commission(we will divulge our commission if requested). We may transfer money that you have paid to us to an FSA approved intermediary.

Claims
We do not handle claims on behalf of insurers. We will provide you with information and guidance on how to report a claim and comply with your insurers procedures. We will exercise all due diligence and care when acting on your behalf in all elements of your claim.

Data & Confidentiality
All personal information about you will be treated as confidential. We will only use and disclose your information in the normal course of administering your policy. Information is passed onto the Claims and Underwriting Exchange, Motor Insurance Ant-Fraud and Theft Register administered by the Motor Insurance Database. This is to combat fraudulent claims and help in the detection of uninsured drivers. We may have to allow access to your records by a regulator or a complaints resolution body, or their appointees or representatives, who have been appointed to undertake monitoring or investigatory activities.

Payment
We are able to offer you credit facilities and we are registered under the Consumer Credit Act under licence number 363047. You may spread your payments by means of a direct debit facility offered by a third party finance provider. We will give you full details of the payment options available to you when we discuss your insurance in detail. We may retain certain documents whilst we wait for your premium payment in full. You will be supplied with full details of the insurance and any documents required by law. You should be aware that cancellation or default of installments may invalidate your policy or affect any claim made. Furthermore you may still be liable for full payment.

Duty of Disclosure
It is your duty to provide complete and accurate information when you incept or renew an insurance policy. Failure to do so may invalidate a claim or your insurance cover.

Documentation
It is your responsibility to complete and return all required documents. Failure may result in cancellation of your insurance cover.

Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of England Scotland and Wales and the parties agree herewith any dispute arising out of it shall be subject to the (non) exclusive jurisdiction of the English or Scottish courts. By accepting these Terms of Business you are giving consent for us to act in the manner described.

Other Taxes or Costs
May exist in relation to the products and services offered, which are not paid through or imposed by us.
